General Conditions of Entry

At Hunter Valley Gardens we endeavour to provide exhibits that complement the vegetation in our Gardens. Hunter Valley Gardens has water features that are not fenced including moats, waterways and elevated walkways that can be dangerous. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times while visiting the Gardens.

It is an express condition of your entry and your participation in the activities conducted by Hunter Valley Gardens that you do hereby, for yourself, your heirs, executors, assigns and next-of-kin and each of them release, waive and discharge Hunter Valley Gardens, its officers, directors, agents and employees of and from all liability, claims or demands for all injuries, losses, damages of any kind or nature to your person or property or to that of any minor under your supervision, while on the property of Hunter Valley Gardens.

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • Lost, damaged and stolen tickets may be replaced, upon proof of purchase.
  • No filming or photography for commercial purposes is to be carried out in the Gardens without prior written consent from Hunter Valley Gardens.
  • Drones are not permitted for use on the Hunter Valley Gardens property without prior written consent from Hunter Valley Gardens.
  • We do not offer refunds due to adverse weather conditions or any areas of the Gardens being closed for maintenance, special events or for any other reason.
  • Refunds will only be provided if the Gardens are closed by management.
  • No picnicking.
  • No BYO food or beverages with the exception of bottled water.
  • While visiting the Gardens you may be filmed or photographed for marketing purposes, if you wish for this not to occur please notify a staff member.
  • No pets. Registered guide dogs and companion dogs are allowed into the Gardens with their owners.
  • Documentation for these animals is required prior to entry.
  • No skateboards/rollerblades/skates/scooters/pushbikes.
  • Hunter Valley Gardens uses CCTV surveillance monitoring.

Hunter Valley Gardens reserves the right to refuse entry to any person who does not comply with the conditions of entry. Management reserves the right to refuse entry and eject persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who are disorderly or engage in inappropriate behaviour, vandalism or evade admission. Management reserves the right to inspect any bags, clothing and other items at all entry points or within the gardens at any time. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to patrons carrying a prohibited item. Persons 15 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while in Hunter Valley Gardens.

Online Tickets

Entry to Hunter Valley Gardens is granted by presenting a printed or digital ticket.

Event tickets are for single use only and are sold separately to general Garden entry tickets.

Online tickets are only available at huntervalleygardens.com.au, tickets purchased from third-party resellers will not be accepted at Garden entry.

Tickets must be used for the day booked. Due to capacity restrictions, if you arrive on a different day to your booking, we may not be able to allow you entry.

Lost, damaged and stolen tickets may be replaced, upon proof of purchase (original receipt) by submitting a request to the bookings team

If you do not use your ticket on the specified day, the value of that ticket will become null.
Handle your E-Ticket as you would cash and do not buy from or attempt to sell to anyone an E-Ticket – it has no resale value.

Purchasing

Tickets may be purchased at Garden Entry or through the Hunter Valley Gardens website with a major credit card. Your account will be debited at the time of ordering and payment processing fees may apply, reflecting bank fees and administration costs charged to Hunter Valley Gardens for credit card transactions. All prices include GST.

No tickets will be available to be purchased over the phone.

All credit card purchases are made through a secure online payment facility. Payment information is securely and confidentially processed by the payment gateway. Hunter Valley Gardens does not have access to card details. If you believe any unauthorised use of your credit card has occurred, please notify the Gardens by email and contact your bank directly.

When purchasing online, the customer is agreeing to give access to their name, email address, postcode and any other personal information entered (excluding payment details) to Roche Group and their subsidiaries, including but not limited to Hunter Valley Gardens. These details will be held confidentially by Roche Group and used for processing, marketing and research purposes only. No details will be passed on to a third party.

Accessing and Presenting E-Tickets

Once purchased online, the customer will receive an email including ticket details and a barcode. This can be presented at Garden Entry by way of print or digital ticket. Online orders can be recovered from Garden entry, but a valid ID must be provided.

Failure to present ticket upon entry may result in non-entry to the Gardens.

To avoid problems in receiving your email purchase confirmation, ensure that you enter a valid email address and check that your inbox spam filter will not block Hunter Valley Gardens content. Please allow up to sixty minutes for the email purchase confirmation to arrive.

Hunter Valley Gardens reserves the right to adjust operating hours without prior notice.

Refund Policy.

Refunds are only available if the Gardens do not open on the date of your booking.

Annual Passes

Hunter Valley Gardens Annual Passes are NOT TRANSFERABLE, and a valid ID of the annual pass holder must be shown at entry. This pass entitles the named individuals entry into Hunter Valley Gardens during opening times, including special events (excluding events that offer catering or limited entry numbers) and is issued on the condition that the holder complies with the Terms & Conditions of entry to Hunter Valley Gardens. Annual Passes expire 12 months from the date of issue.

Gift Vouchers

  • Gift Cards can be redeemed online on any day, pending availability. 
  • Gift Cards can be redeemed both online and at Garden entry (excluding Garden entry on Christmas Day, 25 December).
  • Gift Cards can be used for Garden/Event entry tickets and ride tickets*. 
  • Gift Cards can be used for multiple purchases until their value reaches $0, eg. tickets and ride tickets.
  • Gift Cards can be used across multiple visits until their value reaches $0.
  • Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable.
  • Gift Cards are valid for 3 years from the date of DELIVERY.
  • Expired gift cards will not be extended or replaced.
  • Keep your Gift Card secure, stolen Gift Cards cannot be refunded or replaced.
